Green Day 5k Run and 2k Fun Walk
On Apr. 6, 2012
Prizes to the top 3 males and top 3 females in each of the seven age categories! This is a computer-chip timed race. Free goodie bags from The Goshen News to the first 250 registrants!
Check-in and Race-day registration on W. Washington Street (between Main and Third Streets). The starting line is at the Mill Race Power House.
Note: The course will not be secured after 45 minutes from start time.

The First Fridays Outdoor Summer Music Series begins with bands on East Washington Street.

Maple City Walk

Downtown Goshen, Inc. hosts the 4th annual Maple City Walk, a scenic half-marathon walk through the autumn-kissed countryside on the Pumpkinvine Nature Trail.

7:15 a.m.
Parking is available in the city parking lot on Third Street.
Day-of registration takes place at the Mill Race Powerhouse by the Goshen Farmers Market (212 W. Washington Street) until the walk begins at 8 a.m.8 a.m.
The walk begins.
Walkers are allowed 5 hours to complete the 13.1-mile course along the Pumpkinvine Nature Trail.1 p.m.

After the walk
Enjoy lunch at Rachel’s Bread at the Goshen Farmers’ Market, one of Goshen’s wonderful downtown restaurants, or The Old Bag Factory.
Prizes
Every participant completing the walk receives a Maple City Walk medal and is entered into a drawing for a pair of walking shoes from Woldruff’s Footwear & Apparel.
Trail notes
Children under 15 must be accompanied by an adult. A roving volunteer will carry a first aid kit. In case of emergency call 911. Water and light refreshments provided.
Bring your own water bottle. You can fill personal water bottles and pick up light refreshments at the halfway point.

Oktoberfest
From Oct. 4 to Oct. 5 2012
What would fall be without homecoming, bratwurst and pumpkins? Goshen offers all three with its annual Oktoberfest. Multiple Oktoberfest tents feature music and dancing, harvest eats, and kids activities.

Goshen Open Studio tour continues
Take the self-guided tour to view current gallery exhibits, get an inside look at artists’ studios, see work in progress, and purchase original art directly from the artist.
The tour is free and open to all ages, and runs from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., Saturday.
