On the First Friday of every month - throughout the year - businesses, artists, and entertainers throw a party in downtown Goshen. Hours are generally from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. This month:

  For Children: ‘Make your own movie’. Create your own mask and with your own story, act out your idea which can be filmed for your own DVD. Mask supplies, story ideas and filming equipment will be provided.
  For Teens: Starting at 5:00, ‘Main Street Video Scavenger Hunt’; bring your team or just yourself, cell phone with cable to download the scavenger hunt. Teams that finish will earn a prize and see your ‘Hunt’ on the big screen. All this before the big Goshen High School game.
  For Adults: At 6:00 and 7:00 there will be a showing of a short 20 minute themed Film from the ‘Spiritual Cinema Circle’, providing time for discussion afterward.
  For All: Refreshments, S-mores and bathrooms.

Jujitsu workshop
Come to New World Arts’ for a free jujitsu workshop during February First Fridays!

People are welcome to come from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. to try some moves under the instruction of instructor Anthony Gouin, or watch other participants. There’s no admission fee and no need to register—just come to sit in and watch or go ahead and try some jujitsu.

The class will be demonstrating beginning disarming techniques for sticks and knives. The evening workshop is an example of the month-long jujitsu class series at New World Arts. Information on joining the next series of classes will be available that evening.

New World Arts is located at 211 South Main Street, Goshen, IN 46526. Parking and the entrance are located off of 3rd. St.
