2009 Maple City Walk

Maple City Walk

Downtown Goshen, Inc. hosts the first Maple City Walk, a scenic 13-mile walk through autumn-kissed countryside, via the Pumpkinvine Nature Trail.

Saturday, October 3, 2009

6:30 a.m.
Parking available in the city parking lot on Third Street.
On-site registration outside the Goshen Farmers Market (212 W. Washington St.)

Registration fee: $15

7:15 a.m.
The walk begins. Sunrise will be at approximately 7:45 a.m. Walkers allowed 5 hours to complete the 13-mile course.

12:15 p.m.
Post-walk ceremony and drawing for a pair of walking shoes.

Safety

Children under 15 must be accompanied by an adult. A roving volunteer will carry a first aid kit. In case of emergency call 911. Water and light refreshments provided.

Prizes

Every participant who completes the walk by 12:15 p.m. will receive a Maple City Walk medal and be entered into a drawing for a pair of walking shoes from Woldruff’s Footwear.

Feel Good Fest

After the walk, grab some lunch at the Goshen Farmers Market or downtown and stop by The Feel Good Tour on the courthouse lawn, 12 - 2 p.m.
